Rollins MBA student Roda Carter and her husband and business partner Rodney Carter were honored last week at the inaugural Florida Companies to Watch event in recognition of the success of their company, Carter-Health.

Carter-Health was recognized as an industry leader in clean room design for healthcare facilities across the nation. They were among only 50 companies from 18 Florida counties to have earned a place in Florida’s inaugural class of “Companies to Watch.” Rollins MBA alumni work at several of the companies recognized this year, including PlusOne Solutions (Eric Strauss ‘04MBA), Power Grid Engineering (Michael Wright ‘04MBA ), Alinean Inc. (Amy Adams Cole ’02 MBA), and VaxDesign (Riyaz Mehta ’10MBA).

Florida Companies to Watch is presented by GrowFL, the Florida Economic Gardening Institute at the University of Central Florida and ACG Florida, in association with the Edward Lowe Foundation and funding support from The Governor’s Office of Tourism, Trade and Economic Development, recognizes the state’s privately held businesses that employ up to 99 employees and have between $750,000 to $50 million in annual revenue or capital.
